Must have formal education or experience with web-enabled software such as PHP and Java, including integrating web applications with SQL database systems. Must possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Help maintain existing applications by implementing new features and enhancing current functionality
- Help develop user friendly and intuitive user interfaces to display reports, graphs, and metrics
- Exercise a positive attitude, sense of humor, and willingness to learn
- Collaborate with others on code reviews, internal infrastructure and process enhancements
- Maintain and document security and integrity controls
- Identify opportunities for process improvements/efficiencies
- Manage time effectively with minimal supervision to accurately scope projects and ensure that projects release on time
Required Experience:
- BS in computer science or equivalent
- Experience in scripting with PHP
- Understanding of Web standards (HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Solid communication skills and a proven ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks
- Strong knowledge of web database application, and analytical programming techniques
- Willingness to take ownership with a disciplined and proactive approach
- Knowledge of Software development lifecycle tools – source control (SVN), issue tracking, bug tracking, etc.
- Experience with Perl or Unix shell scripting
- Knowledge of web servers, application servers, databases
- Experience with Linux or Mac OS environments is a plus
