Chester Partners with VMSC to
Ensure Life-Saving EMS Coverage
With the closure of Crozer Health’s emergency services, Chester faced the alarming possibility of being left without critical ambulance coverage. Thanks to swift action by city officials and support from Delaware County Council, Chester has secured a new partnership with VMSC Emergency Medical Services, a trusted nonprofit provider with deep roots in the region.
VMSC has been delivering compassionate, high-quality emergency care since 1933, and their commitment to community health is second to none. Under this new agreement, VMSC will provide 24/7 ambulance coverage, an advanced life support unit, and integrate directly with Chester’s fire stations to ensure rapid response times.
More than just emergency transport, VMSC continues to lead by example with proactive community health initiatives. VMSC utilizes the HealthCall Care Delivery platform to manage its Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) program, enhancing care coordination, improving patient outcomes, and optimizing emergency room resources throughout the Delaware Valley.
A huge thanks to VMSC for stepping up when the community needed them most. Their dedication, professionalism, and nearly century-long legacy of service are exactly what Chester deserves.
